Chef Approved Low-Cost Staples

New in the kitchen? Need a new tool to reinvigorate your fire for food? From the back of kitchens to your eyes - Good Stuff Cheap.
Pans:
In my opinion, pound for pound, these are the best fry pans. Incredibly even heating, durable, and not $250. I understand they aren't a Hestan, and that there are far more sought after brands on the market; I'll stand my ground that these perform similarly enough to be in their conversation.
Knife:
Babish 8" Chef's Knife - $30
This is where I will lose some folks. "Who would use a $30 knife for daily prep work?" Me. Because I break nice things. In a pinch, after breaking my daily driver on the unsealed concrete floor in the dry storage, I saw I could get this delivered next-day for $30 while I shopped for my next investment. This knife outperformed any expectation I held by miles. Cutting cases of tomatoes and cases of carrots daily, this knife held through. The steel is softer, but have a honing rod handy and you'll be running through the kevlar bastards that are vine-ripe tomatoes.
Cutting Board:
Cutting Boards are not made equally. End cut is the "Built Ford Tough" (although its better compared to a '82 Toyota Corolla) of cutting boards. They won't warp, and take the abuse from fast knifework far better than its plank counterparts. This specific one is a little over 1' and is plenty for a homecook looking for something nice that wont break the bank. This board is also Acacia wood, making it even better for natural bacterial resistence.
